Eric D’Gluyas

A visual artist who until recently was living and working in the New England region of NSW. He creates expressive landscapes, still life and portrait works in oil paint using both traditional and contemporary methods.

Despite spending most of his life in Sydney, he has always been drawn towards rural aesthetics. He enjoys finding the beauty in landscapes and objects that many people would find mundane, he venerates them through rendering them as works of fine art.

In his body of work developed for Alluna Motel, Eric has chosen subject matter that evoke a nostalgia for the traditional Australian road trip through regional towns.
